Law and Justice: A New Concept of the Blindfolded Woman
Justice can be defined as a fair behavior and treatment. This term is common in the industry of law whereby justice must be provided to all men and women. Actually, the Greek statue of a blindfolded woman might have been an excellent image of justice. Yes, you are reading it right. Blindfolded. Your very first natural impulse may be to be concerned on why is she blindfolded. You may ask, “why does it represent justice while she cannot see what is going on around her?” Well, you may the right ask those things but really the popular meaning of the blindfolded woman is that she, being sightless on the bribes that a variety of men and women may present her. With that, cash, popularity, even loss of life could never not affect and purely justice will dominate. This would mean that no matter who you are, no matter where you are from, and no matter what’s your status in the society, you will always get justice.
But unfortunately, plenty of folks ignore the prevalent meaning of the blindfolded woman and pay attention to on another meaning which is not being capable of seeing or feeling what is occurring in the surroundings. Some of which would be done on purpose while others are simply being unaware of it. Basically, the intentional concept is a selfish idea of people who are involved. Individuals with this notion fully grasp the concept of moral values or the regulation of the territory. On the other hand, non-intentional is simply being unaware of the situation that causes injustice.
Fundamentally speaking, the whole process of the justice system is initially blindfolded per se (pause a bit and think…). Now, let us delve into new concept. People are just people. They cannot be at one area at the exact time which makes them blindfolded in many situations. For example, a criminal defense lawyer when contacted by a client does not really have a clue about what is taking place. All he has to execute is to collect details from the defendant and acquire records or files that would verify the client is not guilty. That scenario is being blindfolded. In the same way, having a witness can be an evidence of justice processing being blindfolded too for no one really is aware if what the witness is stating is really true or not.
Despite the fact that justice processing is simply blindfolded, it does not suggest that you cannot get justice in any ways. You can always walk, shout, or reach things even when you are blindfolded right? It’s only that this content is attempting to talk about new idea of the blindfolded lady. Blindfolded for bribery, blindfolded in the concept of good and bad, or blindfolded in the processes – all might be correct. It is only an issue of how you see it.
